depX is revolutionizing the DevOps landscape with its cutting-edge AI ecosystem. This platform enables companies to deploy, manage, and monitor their entire cloud infrastructure with just two lines of code. Offering a no-code, ChatGPT-like interface tailored for DevOps and cloud engineers, depX drastically accelerates productivity. By streamlining the deployment process, it reduces the time to deploy cloud infrastructure and code by up to 75%. Additionally, it empowers businesses to create cloud infrastructures for any web application across multiple cloud environments.
In an exclusive conversation with The Interview World, Abhinav Gupta, Founder and CEO of depX, shares insights into the disruption his platform is driving within the DevOps space. He explains how depX is reshaping the traditional DevOps model and unveils his long-term vision for the platform. Here are the key highlights from the conversation.
Q: Can you elaborate on the specific disruptions depX is driving in the DevOps space?
A: The disruption we’re driving is the complete removal of companies’ reliance on dedicated engineers. By doing so, businesses significantly cut their operational costs. Instead of paying for specialized engineers, companies simply input a prompt into our AI platform. This takes over the majority of the heavy lifting in managing cloud and device operations.
Companies that need DevOps services or want to offer DevOps as a service to their clients no longer need to hire a dedicated team. Instead, they turn to depX. Software developers working on their products can simply use depX by inputting prompts, eliminating the need for hiring DevOps engineers or cloud specialists. Our AI-powered platform automates the tasks typically handled by these engineers.
In essence, AI becomes the workforce, delivering the services companies need without the added expense of hiring full-time engineers. By subscribing to depX, businesses can bypass the costs of paying a hefty salary to a dedicated engineer while still receiving the same high-level support.
Q: Have you launched the platform?
A: Yes. We have deployed our platform in eight companies, including major names like Airtel and HCL. While discussions with Airtel are still in the early stages, we’ve officially taken over a project with HCL, focusing on their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. We are actively supporting them in this effort.
Q: How is depX transforming the narrative of DevOps?
A: To begin with, no other platform in the world makes the bold claim of fully replacing a DevOps engineer. Unlike other AI tools, which still require a dedicated engineer to manage and operate them, our platform eliminates that dependency entirely. This is the fundamental problem with existing AI-based engineering tools, and it’s precisely the challenge we are solving.
Q: How many DevOps engineers are currently associated with your platform?
A: Our platform is still in its early stages. While we have already deployed it in several companies, our primary revenue comes from B2B engagements. Currently, around 200 engineers are registered on the platform.
Our main focus has been on businesses rather than individual users, though we do offer a free tier. Engineers can create accounts and start using the platform, but ultimately, DevOps is inherently a B2B service, which is where we direct most of our efforts.
Q: What is your long-term vision or strategy for the future?
A: My long-term vision is to transform this into a fully agnostic engineering platform, a goal I aim to achieve in the next five years. While that vision is still some time away, our current focus is on cloud and DevOps—areas where we have deep expertise and where we are most capable of delivering immediate value.
