In an exclusive conversation with The Interview World at the India AI Impact Expo 2026, Mandar Natekar, Co-founder and CEO of VisualDub, details the platform’s AI- and ML-driven visual dubbing architecture and the structural industry challenges it addresses. He also outlines the company’s current client portfolio, quantifies its multilingual capabilities, and articulates the next wave of technological advancements planned over the next five years. Furthermore, he presents the company’s export strategy and global expansion roadmap. The following are the key insights from that discussion.

Q: Can you provide a detailed overview of the AI and machine learning technologies powering VisualDub’s visual dubbing platform, and explain how your solution addresses key industry challenges?

A: Most of us have watched dubbed content, and most of us have been distracted by it. The misalignment between audio and visuals breaks immersion. Lips move out of sync. Emotions feel displaced. As a result, the viewing experience suffers.

We set out to solve this precise problem through AI-based visual dubbing. Specifically, we targeted the last mile of localization, the point at which translated audio must align flawlessly with on-screen performance. Instead of accepting compromised visual dubbing, we asked a sharper question: why should any piece of content feel as though it was filmed in another language?

Accordingly, we built VisualDub to eliminate that disconnect. The objective is clear: remove language as a barrier to great storytelling and picturization. By synchronizing performance and translation with precision, we enable audiences to experience content naturally, in the language of their choice. In doing so, we make stories truly accessible, across markets, across cultures, and across linguistic boundaries.

Q: Has this solution been commercially deployed, and if so, who are your current clients?

A: Several of India’s most prominent film studios, including Yash Raj Films, Maddock Films, Dharma Productions, Excel Entertainment, Friday Filmworks, and Sun TV Network, deploy our visual dubbing solutions across their film portfolios. They rely on our technology to deliver seamless multilingual adaptations without compromising performance integrity.

In parallel, more than 70 leading brands integrate our solutions into their advertising campaigns. These include global and domestic market leaders such as Amazon, L’Oréal, The Coca-Cola Company, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Hero MotoCorp. By embedding visual dubbing directly into their ad films, these brands ensure linguistic precision, cultural resonance, and consistent audience engagement across diverse markets.

Q: Is your solution language-agnostic, and how many languages are currently supported?

A: Our technology is inherently language agnostic. It does not depend on a specific linguistic structure, script, or phonetic system. Instead, it adapts seamlessly across languages.

At present, the platform supports more than 50 languages. Moreover, it continues to expand its multilingual capabilities to meet evolving global demand.

Q: What key innovations or product advancements are you planning to develop over the next five years?

A: Five years is a significant horizon, especially in a landscape where technology evolves daily. Therefore, we anchor our strategy in a clear and ambitious objective: to build a global leader in AI-powered visual dubbing.

We designed our platform for the international entertainment ecosystem from the outset. It addresses a universal challenge and scales across languages, formats, and markets. Accordingly, we are accelerating our expansion into new geographies. Our priority is to establish a strong presence in key global markets and extend our visual dubbing solutions wherever high-quality multilingual storytelling demands precision, speed, and scale.

Q: Have you expanded your dubbing solution into international markets?

A: Not at this stage. However, we will initiate exports within the next six to eight months.
