Zissions is not another sustainability platform. It is a command center for environmental intelligence, engineered to help businesses thrive in a world where sustainability has moved from optional to imperative. With robust capabilities in ESG reporting, EPD documentation, BRSR compliance, and carbon accounting, Zissions equips organizations to rise above box-ticking and commit to meaningful climate action.

At its core, innovation powers the platform. Generative AI and machine learning convert complex data into clarity, foresight, and actionable strategy. The outcome is sustainability that is measurable, scalable, and firmly tied to business performance.

The company’s foundation is equally compelling. Established by sharp minds from IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay, Zissions fuses deep technical expertise with a bold vision: to accelerate the global shift toward carbon-neutral business operations. Whether refining disclosures or uncovering operational efficiencies, Zissions reframes sustainability, not as a burden, but as a competitive advantage.

This is intelligence transforming into impact.

At FIIT Forward 2025, hosted by FITT and IIT Delhi, The Interview World spoke exclusively with Suhasani Chouhan, CEO and Founder of Zissions. In this conversation, Suhasani illuminated how her platform delivers sustainability intelligence to enterprises, explained the emerging technologies driving Zissions’ analytics, and revealed the innovations she is preparing to layer atop the existing system. She also outlined her growth strategy with a clarity that reflects both ambition and precision.

Here are the key takeaways from her insightful dialogue.

Q: Can you elaborate on the type of reporting intelligence that Zissions delivers within the sustainability domain, and how it supports organizations in reducing carbon footprints and compliance goals?

A: We deliver intelligent reporting solutions and live-tracking tools that monitor carbon footprints with precision. The abundance of soil data available to us fuels these capabilities. To address this complexity, we have developed advanced tools that transform raw information into actionable insights.

Beyond tracking and reporting, we are also driving innovation in carbon crediting. We help companies that actively reduce emissions translate their efforts into verified credits. These credits, in turn, create new revenue streams and strengthen their sustainability strategies.

In essence, we convert environmental responsibility into measurable value.

Q: What emerging technologies are you leveraging to deliver smart analytics to your customers, and how do these innovations enhance the value of your solutions?

A: We are currently developing large language models (LLMs) trained on the data of major corporations and manufacturing enterprises. These models extract deep insights from complex datasets. In turn, the insights empower businesses to make informed decisions and stay aligned with sustainability compliance.

Q: Have you been able to commercialize your product yet, and what has been your journey so far in terms of securing funding or investment support?

A: We have successfully developed our minimum viable product (MVP) and moved into the commercialization phase. At the same time, we are actively pursuing funding. Discussions with potential investors are already underway, and we remain confident about securing the capital needed to scale our startup.

Q: What new innovations do you envision building on top of your existing platform over the next five to ten years, and how will they shape the future of your offerings?

A: Carbon credits and carbon markets are creating a powerful buzz today. Looking ahead, they will become an essential need for businesses worldwide. Most companies still operate with high emission levels, and the pressure to act is only intensifying. This is where technology plays a decisive role.

Solutions that not only reduce carbon footprints but also enable firms to monetize their reductions through carbon credits represent the future. They transform sustainability from a compliance exercise into a revenue-generating opportunity. In my view, this convergence of environmental responsibility and financial return defines the path forward.

Q: In what ways do your reports help companies not only improve their sustainability performance but also enhance market access and unlock new business opportunities?

A: For companies aiming to reduce emissions, the first critical step is understanding their footprint. Knowing the exact amount of emissions provides the foundation for meaningful action. This is where we step in.

Our tools enable businesses to track live data and act on it in real time. They no longer need to wait for annual reports or defer action to the following year. Instead, they gain immediate access to accurate, real-time insights. With this intelligence at their fingertips, companies can make smarter, faster, and more actionable decisions.

Q: How do you envision the trajectory of innovation, market expansion and revenue growth for your company in the coming years?

A: We are setting our sights on the carbon credit and carbon finance markets, which are rapidly gaining global momentum. At the same time, we are developing advanced AI technologies designed to help companies push their carbon reduction efforts even further.

Our ambition extends beyond compliance. We aim to unlock significant revenue opportunities from these innovations while positioning ourselves to serve Fortune 500 companies. This dual focus—on environmental impact and financial performance—drives our strategy forward with scale and purpose.
