Ravali Spinners Pvt. Ltd. is not merely spinning yarn, it is weaving a narrative of grit, growth, and global ambition. Established in 2005, the company has evolved from a modest enterprise into an industry powerhouse, operating 101,520 spindles and a state-of-the-art mill in Khandavalli, Andhra Pradesh.

Its product portfolio is as diverse as it is sophisticated. From Carded, Combed, and Compact yarns to Gassed, Slub, Hank, Spandex, and TFO variants, every thread reflects meticulous craftsmanship. The company harnesses world-class machinery, Rieter, Schlafhorst, and LMW, Trützschler, and introduced India’s first TOYOTA RX300, setting new benchmarks in spinning technology. Each strand it produces stands as a testament to consistency, innovation, and uncompromising quality.

Yet, what truly distinguishes Ravali Spinners is its philosophy. The company builds on values that matter: customer delight, operational excellence, community responsibility, workplace safety, and integrity. In a market where trust is spun as finely as cotton, Ravali interlaces quality with credibility—seamlessly, and at scale.

At Gartex, in an exclusive conversation with The Interview World, Ravindranath Vanka, Managing Director of Ravali Spinners Pvt. Ltd., shed light on the company’s versatile yarn range and adherence to stringent global quality standards. He shared insights into the balance between domestic and export markets and outlined a forward-looking strategy anchored in innovation and sustainable growth.

Here are the key takeaways from his compelling conversation.

Q: Could you elaborate on the range of yarns manufactured by Ravali Spinners and highlight the global quality standards and benchmarks you adhere to in order to distinguish your products in the market?

A: We are Ravali Spinners, proudly headquartered in Andhra Pradesh, and we specialize in producing a diverse range of cotton yarns. Our portfolio spans from 6 count to 120 count, offering multiple variations to meet global textile demands. With advanced attachments such as Slub, TFO, Lycra, Syro, and Hank, we deliver yarns that are versatile, high-performing, and tailored for different applications.

What truly reinforces our credibility is our commitment to internationally recognized certifications. At the forefront is Inditex certification, a globally respected benchmark that validates every dimension of our operations. From factory standards and process efficiency to worker welfare and environmental management, only those who adhere to stringent international norms receive Inditex approval. In today’s market, being an Inditex-certified supplier signals both quality and trust, making it a highly sought-after qualification for buyers worldwide.

Equally significant is our compliance with the Global Recycle Standard (GRS). Under this framework, we recover fabric waste, cutting waste, and other discarded materials, reprocess them into fiber, and blend 35–40% recycled content into our yarns, depending on buyer specifications. This ensures that our sustainability practices are not aspirational but measurable and real.

In addition, we hold certifications from Oeko-Tex, Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), Organic (NOP and NPOP), among others. Each reinforces our dedication to ethical sourcing, responsible production, and environmentally conscious growth.

At Ravali Spinners, sustainability is not a buzzword, it is a guiding philosophy. We channel innovation into creating yarns that not only meet international standards but also safeguard resources for future generations. By aligning quality with responsibility, we aim to shape a textile future where performance and sustainability are seamlessly interwoven.

Q: While adhering to stringent international compliance standards, how does Ravali Spinners manage to deliver a competitive price advantage to its customers?

A: Price does not offer us a significant advantage, but priority does. Our buyers place us at the top of their preference list, and it is this priority that we consistently enjoy.

Q: Are Ravali Spinners’ products primarily sold in the domestic market, or do you also cater to international markets through exports?

A: Exports account for 40% of our total turnover. We ship to multiple countries across continents. In the Americas, our yarn reaches the United States. In Europe, we supply to Portugal, Italy, and Spain. In Asia, our presence spans China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Through this global footprint, Ravali Spinners continues to strengthen its position as a trusted international supplier.

Q: Do you have plans to diversify beyond cotton yarns into other forms of yarn production?

A: Our next plan is clear—we will establish weaving and knitting units. This will allow us to produce fabrics using our own cotton yarn, ensuring greater value addition and integrated growth.

Q: Where do you envision Ravali Spinners over the next 5 to 10 years, particularly in terms of innovation and business growth?

A: Since our inception in 2005, we have grown from an initial capacity of 16,800 spindles to 136,000 spindles today. Every two years, we have undertaken an expansion, consistently adopting the latest technologies to stay ahead.

We not only adopt these advancements but also integrate them seamlessly into our operations. This commitment keeps us at the forefront, both in product innovation and in quality excellence. Looking ahead, we remain determined to expand into new areas, embrace emerging technologies, and explore fresh opportunities for growth.
