The Uday Bharatam Party is a political organization in India with a mission to drive a new era of progress, development, and social justice. At its core, the party’s ideology centers on building a self-reliant and inclusive nation, advocating for economic reforms, technological innovation, and enhanced governance. Uday Bharatam prioritizes education, employment, and healthcare as essential pillars for national development.
The party promotes ethical leadership, transparency, and active citizen participation in decision-making, with a commitment to eliminating corruption and inefficiencies within the system. Additionally, Uday Bharatam emphasizes environmental sustainability and the adoption of renewable energy as integral components of its vision for future growth.
With a strong focus on grassroots movements and addressing local concerns, the party aims to bridge the gap between government policies and the real needs of the people, particularly in rural and underdeveloped areas, to ensure balanced growth nationwide.
In an exclusive conversation with The Interview World, Dr. Rajendra P. Paladugu, President of Uday Bharatam Party, outlined the party’s vision and explained how it seeks to differentiate itself from existing political entities. He highlighted key policies aimed at strengthening the party and emphasized the essential qualities required for individuals to join the movement. Below are the key takeaways from this insightful discussion.
Q: What inspired you to establish the Uday Bharatam Party, and what values will you bring to the political landscape?
A: The vision of our party is to transform India into a developed nation known as Bharat. Bharat is not just a name; it is our identity, ingrained in the DNA of every individual and the collective soul of our nation. We must take pride in our culture, our heritage, and the timeless principles of Sanatana philosophy, which continue to inspire us all.
Bharat has always been a vast reservoir of ancient wisdom and knowledge. Moreover, our philosophers and scholars have shaped human thought for millennia. By reviving and embracing this legacy, we can propel the country toward becoming a developed nation and a global superpower. We also aim to create strong economic engines that will drive our youth and the nation toward lasting prosperity.
At the same time, we must send a clear message to the world: the time has come for a new global order. As a nation of 1.5 billion people, we deserve a permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council. As we move closer to becoming a developed nation, the world’s eyes are already on us for our contributions to yoga and spirituality. But our next wave of global influence will come from innovation.
Throughout history, Bharat has been home to pioneers—from Aryabhata and Sushruta to Charaka and Acharya Nagarjuna—who gave the world advancements in mathematics, medicine, and science. We invented the numerical zero, developed Ayurveda, and performed the first plastic surgeries. Our innovations span from yoga to music, and yet, when we reflect on our current state compared to our glorious past, it looks disheartening.
However, this is not a time for despair. It is a time to re-energize, revitalize, and celebrate our diversity. We must reconnect with our roots and build a progressive nation that improves the lives of all its citizens.
And the foundation of this transformation begins with education. Education is our mantra, and it is the cornerstone of Uday Bharatam Party’s vision. Our goal is to reform and transform every institution in this country, starting with education, to ensure a brighter, more prosperous future for all.
Q: With the current political landscape in India dominated by established parties, how do you plan to carve out a distinct space for your party and its ideology, and what strategies will you employ to differentiate yourself from existing political forces?
A: Yes, the Indian political landscape is undeniably complex. Today’s political discourse is dominated by issues of religion, caste, regionalism, and, increasingly, the race to offer freebies. But is this sustainable? I don’t believe so.
What we truly need is a vibrant economy. And we cannot achieve that by perpetuating a culture of handouts. Instead, we must focus on building human capital. Our goal should be to nurture the next generation of innovators by fostering a strong foundation in education and creating intellectual hubs. Simultaneously, we must invest in infrastructure to attract industries and create jobs through visionary entrepreneurs who can build large, impactful enterprises.
As a nation, we also need to prioritize security and energy independence. When we secure these pillars, we will be on the path to becoming a developed nation. However, the current political discourse continues to revolve around religion, caste, region, and freebies.
We intend to shift this conversation. The Uday Bharatam Party will bring the focus back to policy—how well-crafted, forward-thinking policies can transform India into a developed nation. Policy-driven dialogue will be at the heart of our party’s vision in the days to come.
Q: What key policy interventions do you plan to prioritize to both strengthen your party’s platform and address the most pressing challenges facing the country?
A: If you ask me what single factor can transform this country into a developed nation, I would unequivocally say education—Gnan (knowledge). For centuries, India has been a global center of learning, a beacon of wisdom for thousands of years.
Yet, today, Bihar, once the seat of ancient knowledge, has become a state marked by lawlessness. The once-great land of learning has deteriorated significantly. This decline is emblematic of the broader challenges our nation faces.
To truly transform our country, we must revitalize our education system. Mandatory, value-based education up to the 12th grade is crucial. Alongside this, we must introduce healthcare reforms and establish centers of academic excellence. These steps will be the bedrock for national progress.
However, education and healthcare are just the beginning. We need a comprehensive overhaul in various sectors. We must build a robust healthcare system that instills confidence in the people and cultivates a spirit of service (seva) within every citizen. Citizens need to understand their role in contributing to the nation’s growth. Equally important is the need to revive moral values in our education system.
Today, while we produce engineers and doctors, the system still fails. Why? Because we’ve neglected to teach the values that underpin a prosperous society. After independence, we focused on education for livelihoods, but we ignored education for life itself. This is where the Uday Bharatam Party seeks to make a difference.
We are committed to reforming the judicial system, revamping civil services, and overhauling internal security, including police reforms. We will introduce business-friendly policies, reform taxation, and foster a culture of free enterprise where innovation is encouraged.
Our vision is one of unity. We aim to bring people of all religions, castes, and backgrounds together under a single identity—that of Bharatiyas (Indians). Moreover, we want every citizen to take pride in our rich culture and heritage, and together, as a unified nation, we will thrive.
We are Bharat, and as Bharatiyas, we will rise.
Q: What qualities or behaviors will be non-negotiable for individuals seeking to join your party, and what types of people or practices will you categorically exclude from your political movement?
A: Our party, Udaya Bharatam Party, is set to be unlike anything this nation has seen in the past 77 years. What makes us unique is our commitment to bringing a new generation of politicians. We will introduce intellectuals, dynamic leaders, honest individuals, and visionary thinkers into the political arena. You will never find a criminal, rapist, or murderer on our party’s tickets. We are committed to infusing fresh air into the political landscape.
Moreover, our leaders will undergo rigorous education and training. They will learn about the economy, governance, ethics, and proper conduct. This isn’t just a political party focused on winning elections; we are a party that equips its leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to govern effectively and ethically.
Our leaders will learn the art of leadership, the principles of good governance, and the ethics to transform this nation. It is not about simply becoming an MLA or MP. Moreover, our ultimate goal is to transform India into a developed nation.
To those who wish to join our party, we welcome you. But understand, your primary mission should be to help transform the country, not just to seek a position. Becoming an MLA, MP, or minister is only a step in that process. Our collective goal is clear. We will work together to elevate this nation into a developed and prosperous country. Together, we will achieve this vision.
