Indusfood Manufacturing 2026, India’s leading trade exhibition for the food and beverage manufacturing sector, is a significant step towards converging global automation behemoths, focused on food processing industry. Organized by the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), the event provides a dynamic platform for global technology suppliers, industry leaders, innovators, and manufacturers to showcase cutting-edge advancements in food processing, packaging solutions, ingredients, automation, and hospitality equipment. Hosting over 500 exhibitors and attracting thousands of trade visitors, the exhibition enables high-value networking, business collaborations, live machine demonstrations, and first-hand insights into the technological trends shaping the future of food manufacturing in India and across the globe.

Amid this vibrant environment, The Interview World engaged with two business visitors from Kenya: Philomena Ansah and Sammy Mako. During the conversation, they shared their experiences and key takeaways from Indusfood Manufacturing 2026. They highlighted the low-level adoption of automation in Kenyan businesses, identified products suited to the food processing industry, and emphasized India’s role as a critical technology partner for Kenya. The following summarizes the most significant insights from their compelling discussion.

Q: Could you share your key takeaways from the Indusfood Manufacturing 2026 exhibition?

A: We are delighted to attend the Indusfood Manufacturing 2026 exhibition. The venue is well-organized, and the exhibitors showcase high-quality products. In Kenya, we primarily focus on juice production through sugarcane. Here, we aim to gain insights on reaching our customers, expanding into new markets, and identifying products that allow us to add value to our offerings.

We find the exhibition highly engaging and educational. It fosters meaningful partnerships and collaboration opportunities. We are particularly interested in equipment for food processing and value addition. By the end of the exhibition, we expect to gain extensive knowledge, establish valuable partnerships, and build a strong network for sourcing materials, equipment, and innovative food processing solutions.

Q: Given the prominence of automation at Indusfood Manufacturing 2026, to what extent is Kenya’s food manufacturing industry automated versus manually operated?

A: Currently, our operations rely largely on manual processes, which limits efficiency and scalability. We are eager to explore automation to enhance productivity, reduce errors, and streamline our workflows. That is why we have come to this exhibition to experience cutting-edge automation solutions firsthand. Here, we can see a diverse range of technologies from leading providers around the world, all in one place, and assess how they can transform our business.

Q: Do you find products here which are good enough for your industry?

A: We are now ready to engage with the exhibitors and explore machines that can significantly enhance our production processes. Automation not only boosts productivity and efficiency but also strengthens our competitive edge in the market. By adopting these advanced solutions, we aim to streamline operations, minimize manual labour, and ensure consistent quality. Ultimately, we see this as a strategic step to modernize our business, increase profitability, and position ourselves for long-term growth in a rapidly evolving industry.

Q: How do you see India as a technology partner of Kenya?

A: When we compare India with our country, particularly Kenya, it is clear that India is far ahead in advanced technologies. We plan to source these innovations directly from India and then transfer them back to Kenya. By adopting and implementing these technologies at home, we aim to modernize our operations, enhance efficiency, and bridge the technological gap between our market and global standards.
