Q: Could you walk us through some of the breakthrough hygiene solutions your company has developed and how they stand apart from conventional alternatives?
A: We created a solution that sanitizes the toilet bowl instantly. Every day, countless women, whether traveling, working, or simply on the move, face the harsh reality of unhygienic public toilets. In a developing country like India, it is unrealistic to expect spotless facilities everywhere. That challenge inspired us to design a practical, reliable answer.
Our solution comes as a complete hygiene kit. It includes three essentials: a 100-gram powder, a paper sheet cover, and a sanitizing wet wipe. The process is simple. When a woman encounters a dirty toilet, she sprinkles the powder into the bowl.
Within 30 seconds, the powder reacts with water and produces a thick foam that rises to the brim. This foam carries powerful sanitizing properties that kill harmful viruses and bacteria. While the bowl disinfects, she can place the paper sheet cover on the seat, use the toilet safely, flush, and leave without worry.
The kit goes a step further. In many places, even basic handwashing facilities are missing. To bridge that gap, we include a sanitizing wet wipe. Together, these three components offer women complete protection from infections such as UTIs and other skin-related diseases.
More than a product, it is a shield of safety. It’s compact, effective, and indispensable.
Q: Which other user segments or environments, for example, people travelling in trains, can benefit from these products?
A: Yes, we have developed another product specifically for passengers traveling by train. It comes in the form of a pressurized foam can with powerful sanitizing properties.
The usage is simple. Before entering the toilet, the passenger presses a nozzle. Instantly, the foam is released in a pressurized stream, coating the toilet bowl. Wherever the foam settles, it disinfects the surface, neutralizing harmful germs.
This solution directly addresses a common problem. In trains, whether two-tier AC, three-tier AC, or other compartments, washrooms are shared by multiple passengers and often left in an unhygienic state. With our product, travellers gain control over their safety.
At the moment of use, they simply take out the can, press the nozzle, let the foam sanitize the toilet bowl, flush, and proceed with confidence.
It transforms a shared, unclean facility into a safer and more hygienic space within seconds.
Q: Could you share insights on the pricing strategy for this product and how you’ve positioned it to ensure both affordability and value for customers?
A: We plan to launch the Instant Toilet Bowl Sanitizer, the product I mentioned earlier, at a price of ₹60 per use. In addition, we will introduce the foam can at ₹120 per unit.
Q: How large is the Indian hygiene market today, and what growth potential do you foresee in the coming years?
A: This product falls within the women’s and FMCG category. In 2025, the market is projected to be valued at USD 211 billion, and it is expected to grow to USD 1,178 billion by 2034.
Q: Who are the other key players operating in the hygiene solutions space, and how does Insta Sheild differentiate itself in this competitive landscape?
A: We are the first in the world to introduce this product. At present, no direct competitor exists in the market.
Q: Could you elaborate on the core technology behind this product and highlight its unique selling proposition that sets it apart from existing solutions?
A: Our unique selling proposition lies in the powder itself, for which we also hold a patent. We have engineered it to react with water and generate foam within just 30 seconds. Speed matters, especially for women, who cannot afford to wait longer. The process must be instant. The moment the powder is applied, the action begins. Within half a minute, the foam rises completely and the sanitizing effect is achieved.
