At Medicall, in an exclusive conversation with The Interview World, Pulkit Khurana, Assistant Sales Manager of Vertech Health Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., shared deeper insights. He elaborated on the company’s technology offerings in heart care and diabetes management, outlined plans for developing indigenous medical technologies, discussed the quality and affordability of imported devices, and articulated Vertech’s vision for growth and market expansion.

Q: Could you elaborate on the specific technologies your organization is focusing on, particularly in the areas of heart care and diabetes management?

A: Vertech Health Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. operates through two distinct verticals: DiabaScan and Pefecxa.

Under DiabaScan, we offer a specialized range of diabetic care products, including glucometers and glucometer lancets, designed to support effective monitoring and management of diabetes.

Our Home Healthcare Devices Division operates under the brand name Pefecxa. This portfolio features a comprehensive range of solutions such as oxygen concentrators, blood pressure monitors, nebulizers, thermometers, breast pumps, body massagers, and hospital-use suction machines. In addition, Pefecxa provides a robust line of weighing scales, extending healthcare support into everyday household needs. Since 2006, these products have been serving families and healthcare providers across India.

Our reach extends nationwide through a strong distribution network. With a dedicated distributor in every state, our products seamlessly reach hospitals, retailers, doctors, and end consumers. This well-established system ensures timely access to trusted healthcare solutions, wherever they are needed.

Q: Since these products are being imported, how do you manage the dynamics of after-sales service?

A: We deliver every service directly through our own team, ensuring consistency and accountability. Each service comes from the original manufacturers of our products, guaranteeing authenticity and reliability.

For nearly two decades, we have sustained a portfolio of proven models. Many of these products have been trusted for 15 to 20 years, underscoring their durability and continued relevance in healthcare.

With over 20 years of experience, we serve hospitals, doctors, and individuals across India. Throughout this journey, we have never compromised on service quality, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in every interaction.

Q: Do you have plans to develop medical technology products in India over the next 5–10 years? If so, what kind of offerings can we expect?

A: We are actively planning to expand our portfolio with a sharper focus on critical healthcare segments. Our first priority is respiratory care, a domain we already manage independently with proven expertise.

Next, we are strengthening our presence in diabetic care, building on our established product base to deliver more advanced solutions. The third area of focus is hypertension care, where we aim to provide reliable and accessible monitoring tools.

Across these three divisions, respiratory, diabetic, and hypertension, we are committed to developing and manufacturing products indigenously. This approach not only strengthens self-reliance but also ensures affordability and accessibility for patients across India.

Q: From which countries are you importing these products, and how would you assess their quality standards? Additionally, how affordable are these products for the end users?

A: We primarily import our products from China and Japan, both recognized for their strong manufacturing standards. The products we source consistently meet high quality benchmarks.

Pricing remains aligned with market needs and directly reflects product quality. It also varies according to the specific model imported and the value it delivers to customers. By balancing quality with affordability, we ensure that every product we bring to market offers reliability at the right price point.

Q: As you expand your presence in India, where do you envision your company over the next 5–10 years in terms of market reach and business growth?

A: Today, we rank as the fourth-largest company in India in our segment. Backed by a dedicated team of 90 sales professionals and a robust pan-India network, we have built a strong presence across the country.

Looking ahead, we aim to deepen our reach in every state and accelerate expansion. By strengthening our sales network, we are determined to multiply growth and move closer to industry leadership.
