Verit AI is an AI-driven technology company advancing agentic AI solutions for critical infrastructure sectors, with a sharp focus on rail and metro operations. The company develops intelligent systems for predictive maintenance, energy optimization, digital twins, and AI-enabled project management. At the core of its technology stack is VANI (Verit Agentic Networked Intelligence), a platform that integrates edge-cloud architecture, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), policy guardrails, and audit-ready workflows. As a result, organizations can enable evidence-based reasoning, maintain operational control, and automate complex workflows with confidence.

Moreover, Verit AI places strong emphasis on explainable AI, human-in-the-loop governance, and end-to-end operational transparency. By embedding advanced AI capabilities into infrastructure ecosystems, the company enables operators to enhance efficiency, reduce operational expenditure, optimize maintenance strategies, and accelerate digital transformation across large-scale industrial environments.

In an exclusive interaction with The Interview World at InnoMetro, Bhavesh Pal, Commercial Director, Verit AI, discusses the company’s AI and data science capabilities and explains how its solutions address the evolving requirements of the Indian metro sector. He also outlines Verit AI’s commercialization roadmap and highlights the strategic innovations the company plans to develop over the next five years. Presented below are the key insights from this compelling conversation.

Q: What are the core offerings of Verit AI?

A: We are a data science company based at FITT, IIT Delhi. We specialize in extracting intelligence from data-intensive infrastructure environments, particularly sectors that generate large volumes of complex operational data.

Our approach goes beyond data collection. We analyse large-scale datasets, derive actionable insights, and help clients understand how to apply those insights effectively within their operational ecosystems. In addition, we leverage advanced analytics and predictive models to anticipate system behaviour, identify emerging risks, and improve decision-making.

As a result, we enable organizations to use data more strategically, optimize operational performance, and make informed, future-ready decisions. This forms the core domain of our work.

Q: Could you provide an overview of your solutions portfolio and highlight the key differentiating features?

A: Let me explain this step by step, beginning with our Project Management System (PMS). Existing enterprise solutions such as Oracle’s Primavera and Microsoft Project are widely used across industries. However, these platforms are designed as broad, global solutions intended to serve multiple sectors and markets simultaneously. Consequently, they often fail to address the unique operational realities, execution challenges, and workflow complexities that define the Indian industrial ecosystem.

We recognized a critical gap in the market. Indian industries require project management solutions tailored specifically to India’s infrastructure environment, regulatory landscape, execution patterns, and resource constraints. Therefore, we developed a highly adaptable and India-centric Project Management System designed to align with the specific needs of domestic enterprises and infrastructure projects.

The platform functions as an intelligent project management engine. It ingests organizational data and continuously analyzes project progress, risk exposure, and resource utilization. In addition, the system enables predictive progress tracking, proactive risk management, and optimized resource allocation.

At the core of the platform lies an advanced machine learning model trained on large volumes of operational and project data. As the system processes more data, it continuously learns, refines its analytical capabilities, and generates increasingly accurate insights. As a result, the platform delivers meaningful recommendations, intelligent alerts, and predictive notifications that help organizations make faster, data-driven decisions and improve overall project execution efficiency.

Q: What specific solutions is Verit AI offering for India’s metro sector?

A: For the Indian metro sector, we are currently at the Proof of Concept (POC) stage with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. As part of this engagement, we are deploying our Predictive Diagnostics and Maintenance System (PDMS), an AI-driven solution designed to identify potential equipment failures and operational breakdowns before they occur. By enabling predictive maintenance, the system helps metro operators minimize downtime, improve asset reliability, and enhance operational continuity.

In parallel, we are also offering an AI-based Smart Energy Management System to Delhi Metro. This solution leverages advanced analytics and intelligent automation to optimize energy consumption, improve efficiency, and support sustainable metro operations. Both solutions are presently undergoing evaluation at the POC stage.

In addition, we have developed AI TCMS, an AI-enabled project and transit control management solution tailored for railway and metro infrastructure projects. We are currently in discussions with Keolis, which is associated with the development and operations of Pune Metro, as well as with Tata Projects, regarding the deployment of this platform.

The system has been designed as a highly versatile and scalable project management solution specifically for railway and metro infrastructure development. Moreover, its architecture enables seamless adaptation across large-scale transportation and infrastructure ecosystems. Consequently, we also intend to position this platform for broader deployment across Indian Railways. At present, discussions with relevant stakeholders are underway.

Q: What is your roadmap for commercializing these solutions, and what timelines are you targeting for market deployment?

A: We expect to achieve tangible outcomes from these initiatives within the next year. As the ongoing evaluations and engagements progress, we anticipate being in a strong position to commercially deploy these solutions at scale.

Q: What new products, technologies, or innovations is Verit AI planning to develop over the next five years?

A: What we have observed is that the challenge is not the lack of data. In fact, large-scale infrastructure systems generate enormous volumes of operational and technical data every day. However, the Indian market now requires far stronger operational management and intelligent technical control mechanisms to effectively utilize that data.

At present, a significant gap exists between data generation and actionable decision-making. When organizations deal with massive and complex datasets, extracting meaningful operational insights manually becomes extremely difficult. Without advanced analytical tools, intelligent automation, and smart operational systems, managing such infrastructure efficiently is nearly impossible. Therefore, we see substantial opportunity in this space. By integrating AI-driven analytics, predictive intelligence, and smart operational frameworks, organizations can transform raw data into actionable insights, strengthen operational control, and significantly improve infrastructure performance and decision-making efficiency.
