Here are the key takeaways from this insightful conversation.
Q: Could you elaborate on the innovative ERP solutions that STERP Software is developing specifically for engineering and manufacturing companies? How do these solutions stand out from traditional ERP offerings in terms of functionality, customization, and industry relevance?
A: We’ve been operating in the ERP space since 2003, with a sharp focus on engineering and manufacturing industries—our core USP. Unlike generic ERP providers, we exclusively serve this niche, which allows us to deliver highly specialized, process-driven solutions tailored to the sector’s unique needs.
Over the years, we’ve built a robust client portfolio of more than 2,000 companies across India. Our presence spans multiple cities through strategically placed branch offices, enabling us to provide seamless pan-India support and service delivery.
Our ERP system covers the entire business cycle—from lead management to accounting—ensuring end-to-end process integration. We proudly serve clients with turnovers ranging from ₹20 crore to ₹600 crore, proving our capability to meet the demands of both mid-sized enterprises and large-scale manufacturing giants.
Q: With the rapid emergence of deep technologies like AI and IoT, how is STERP Software ensuring that its ERP solutions are equipped to seamlessly integrate with these advancements and deliver enhanced value to engineering and manufacturing companies?
A: Yes, emerging technologies like IoT and AI are rapidly transforming the ERP landscape—and we’ve already embraced this shift. Our platform supports seamless integration with IoT-enabled systems and both hardware and software solutions through robust API connectivity. This allows us to consolidate data from diverse sources and deliver a unified operational view.
While AI may not yet have a direct impact on core ERP functions or reporting, we actively leverage Business Intelligence (BI) tools to bridge that gap. BI serves as a powerful layer of intelligence, enabling top-level management to analyze real-time data and forecast future trends.
We offer integrated BI capabilities and can easily connect any third-party BI platform to our database, empowering decision-makers with actionable insights and predictive analytics.
Q: How do you envision the next wave of innovation evolving on top of your existing ERP solutions?
A: We’ve consistently focused on innovation—and that’s exactly why we’ve sustained steady growth since entering the market in 2003. Every year, we enhance and evolve our product to meet the changing demands of the industry.
For instance, we introduced our mobile application five to six years ago, offering users greater flexibility and real-time access. In addition, we developed a robust Customer-Vendor Portal, allowing customers to log in, track order statuses, and streamline vendor management.
We’ve also integrated Business Intelligence (BI) tools, enabling advanced analytics and smarter decision-making. Beyond that, we offer solutions that connect seamlessly with store management systems, including automated racking systems for inventory optimization.
These innovations aren’t future plans—they’re already active modules, built to help our clients stay ahead in a competitive landscape.
Q: Could you share insights into some of your key clients across the various industry verticals you serve, and how STERP Software has addressed their unique business needs?
A: As I mentioned, we specialize in serving the engineering and manufacturing sectors. Across every vertical, we’ve built a strong presence by partnering with industry-leading clients.
In the chemical processing equipment segment, we work with S2 Group in Hyderabad. Within the plastic processing machinery sector, Jagmohan PlaMach and NAROTO, both among the top 5 to 10 manufacturers in India, are part of our client portfolio.
In pharmaceutical machinery, we proudly serve renowned names like NKP Pharma and NPM Machinery. Similarly, in paper and paper machinery manufacturing, JMC based in Ahmedabad stands as one of our key clients.
Our reach extends to specialized segments as well. In the shearing and bending machine space, we support Energy Mission. In the CNC machinery domain, Macpower CNC Machines is one of our valued clients.
In short, we have a strong foothold in every major segment—backed by leading manufacturers who trust our ERP solutions to drive their operations.
Q: What is your long-term vision for driving sustained revenue growth and expanding STERP Software’s presence in markets over the next decade?
A: Looking ahead, we’ve laid out a clear and ambitious roadmap for the next decade. For the first 10 to 15 years, our operations were largely concentrated in Gujarat. However, over the last five years, we’ve strategically expanded into Maharashtra—particularly Pune and Mumbai—by establishing strong local teams and support networks.
Our growth trajectory continues to extend southward. We’ve built a solid customer base in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, reflecting our increasing footprint across southern India.
We’re now actively targeting northern markets, especially Delhi. That’s precisely why we’re participating in this exhibition—to strengthen our presence and build valuable connections in the region. Our goal is bold yet achievable. From our current turnover of ₹10–15 crore, we’re aiming for a 10x growth over the next decade. Reaching ₹50–100 crore is not just a vision—it’s a committed target, and we’re working relentlessly to make it a reality.
