Q: Can you provide an overview of your product offerings for the construction industry and explain the specific challenges they address?
A: At Speciality Flocks India Private Limited, we have developed a groundbreaking admixture that significantly enhances the strength of ready-mixed concrete (RMC) and cement. When integrated into your construction materials, our product boosts building strength by an impressive 30% to 40%.
Currently, the only comparable product in India is Reliance‘s Recron, which increases strength by approximately 15% to 17%. In contrast, our admixture guarantees a minimum strength enhancement of 30%, with potential gains reaching up to 40%. Although our pricing is double that of Reliance’s product, the efficiency and performance benefits we offer are also double, delivering unmatched value for your investment.
Q: Can you elaborate on the specific composition or mixture your company has developed to enhance the structural strength of buildings?
A: Our innovative products ensure superior earthquake resistance. Take Delhi-NCR, for example, which falls within seismic zone 4. When we collaborate with architects, we require a certification affirming that our buildings meet earthquake resistance standards. The architect then evaluates key parameters such as the steel content and the composition of the cement, sand, and aggregates used.
By incorporating our advanced construction mixture, you enhance the mortar’s flexibility, akin to the natural flexibility of bare steel. Typically, once steel is encased in mortar, it loses its flexibility and becomes rigid. This rigidity can lead to structural failure during a high-intensity earthquake, as the force causes the material to snap. However, our mixture provides the necessary flexibility to the mortar, ensuring that the entire structure remains intact even under severe seismic stress.
Q: What key market segments or opportunities are you targeting for growth?
A: Our product is primarily designed for infrastructure projects, though it is versatile enough to be used in any building, whether residential or commercial, given that earthquakes impact entire land areas. However, our primary focus remains on infrastructure projects, including tunnels, flyovers, dams, and reservoirs, where exceptional strength is critical.
Q: How does your product claim to enhance the strength and durability of infrastructure? Can you explain how it contributes to the long-term resilience of buildings?
A: Absolutely, our product will automatically enhance the structural strength of the building. This improvement will extend the building’s lifespan by 50% to 100%. For instance, a residential building originally expected to last 60 years could now endure up to 120 years, effectively doubling its longevity.
Q: Can you share if your product is currently available in the market, and what is the scale of your production capacity to meet demand?
A: Yes, the product is available in the market. We are manufacturing it at our Navi Mumbai facility in MIDC, currently operating at full capacity. Our installed machinery allows for a production volume of 7-8 tons per month. The product is priced at approximately Rs. 600 per kilogram, plus GST.
Q: How has the market reception been for your product since its launch?
A: Fortunately, our schedule is fully booked for the next four months. As a result, we are currently not accepting any new orders. For the orders we do accept, we are providing a delivery timeline of four months from now.
Q: How do architects and builders describe their experiences and insights regarding the projects they’ve worked with your products?
A: We’ve received a positive response, particularly from group housing societies in West Delhi. These societies conducted their own on-site tests, taking advantage of the relatively simple testing process. For instance, they created a 1 kg block and tested it using their builder’s facility.
Although the true performance of the product will reveal itself over time, initial tests have been promising. These favorable results have significantly contributed to our market penetration. Fortunately, this has allowed us to successfully capture a share of the market.
Q: Are there any plans in place to expand your production capacity to meet growing demand or to align with future growth objectives?
A: Yes, our immediate focus is on building an advanced machine capable of producing at least 20-25 tons per month. While we can replicate our existing machine, our goal is to create a more efficient version. The machine and its batch production technology are entirely developed in-house.
Q: How do you envision your innovative products transforming the Indian construction industry?
A: The market will ultimately determine the outcome. I cannot make definitive statements at this point, as it largely depends on market acceptance. casting industry also uses our products. Companies specializing in precision or investment casting incorporate our product into their casts. This integration extends the life of the cast and enhances its precision. Currently, we have supplied our product to two or three companies in South India, who are successfully using it in their operations.
Q: Have you explored international markets for exporting your products?
A: At present, we focus exclusively on the Indian market and do not engage in exporting. Our operations are running at full capacity, dedicating all resources to enhancing our product offerings and upgrading our machinery. This strategic approach aims to boost production and improve product quality. We are committed to exploring new opportunities to refine our products and implement advanced technologies, setting the stage for future expansion.
