SAARGANIC, an emerging Indian brand, redefines healthy snacking through its Ayurvedic nutrition bars that blend premium protein with organic herbs like ashwagandha and nutrient-rich superfoods such as figs, seeds, and nuts. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Sonipat, the company reaches health- and fitness-conscious consumers through both e-commerce platforms and retail partnerships. By uniting the goodness of Ayurveda with the power of superfoods, SAARGANIC sets itself apart from conventional protein bar brands, creating a niche that balances taste, wellness, and tradition.
At the 4th International SME Convention, organized by the India SME Forum in collaboration with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, Vaidya Kamini Sehra, Co-founder and CEO of SAARGANIC, spoke exclusively with The Interview World. In the conversation, she detailed the company’s diverse range of organic and Ayurvedic food products, explained how these offerings have positively transformed consumers’ lifestyles, and discussed SAARGANIC’s strong standing in terms of product efficacy and market competitiveness. She also shared her vision for the next five years, outlining innovative product launches designed to deepen the brand’s impact in the health and wellness market.

Q: Can you elaborate on the range of organic and Ayurvedic food products that SAARGANIC offers, and explain what makes them a healthier choice for consumers?
A: As an Ayurvedic doctor with over 35 years of clinical experience, I have seen firsthand how deeply beneficial certain herbs can be when integrated into daily life. Many of these natural ingredients enhance energy, build stamina, and promote relaxation. Drawing from this insight, we set out to change people’s snacking habits, replacing unhealthy options with nourishing alternatives enriched with powerful Ayurvedic herbs. This vision became the core mission of our company.
During the pandemic, when conversations around health and immunity reached new urgency, we felt a professional and moral responsibility to contribute. As doctors, we recognized it was our duty to strengthen people’s immunity and overall vitality. In response, we launched a series of functional nutrition bars, immunity bars and energy bars infused with ashwagandha.
Our initial focus was on children’s wellbeing. We formulated bars containing brahmi, ashwagandha, and chandrapushpi, a blend designed to support both mental clarity and physical strength. Through these products, we aimed to make Ayurvedic wellness simple, accessible, and delicious for the next generation.
Q: How have your products made a positive difference in the lives of your consumers?
A: Developing and launching a product that is both healthy and delicious takes considerable time and effort. Beyond formulation, one of our greatest challenges is educating people about mindful eating. As a doctor, I often meet parents concerned about their children’s poor eating habits or issues like weak eyesight caused by excessive screen time. In such cases, I emphasize the importance of choosing the right snacks that nourish rather than merely fill.
That’s where our mission begins: to guide people toward healthier snacking choices and inspire lasting lifestyle change. Encouragingly, we are seeing a positive shift. More individuals are becoming aware of what they consume and are actively seeking nutritious options.
Our journey is also strengthened by the proactive efforts of the government and the support of our ministers. Through their initiatives and our collaboration, we conduct awareness drives, educational sessions, and community talks to spread knowledge about healthy eating and Ayurvedic nutrition. Together, we’re working to build a healthier, more informed society.
Q: Where does your company stand in terms of product performance and market competitiveness within your domain?
A: As a doctor, I have complete confidence in the effectiveness of our products. They consistently deliver positive results. Take ashwagandha, for example, while the herb is widely known, its true impact depends on how it is used. Simply adding the name ashwagandha to a label is not enough. What truly matters is the quality of the extract, the form in which it is administered, the right dosage, and the suitability for different age groups. There is deep science behind these considerations, and we have invested significant effort in understanding and applying it correctly.
This scientific precision sets our products apart. We don’t just claim results, we ensure them. Every formulation we develop is backed by Ayurvedic principles, clinical experience, and evidence-based practice. That’s why we can confidently say: when you take our products, you will see real and measurable benefits.
Q: What new products is your company planning to introduce over the next five years, and how do you envision them creating a lasting impact in the market?
A: At present, we offer a range of products that promote immunity, stamina, energy, and overall mental and physical well-being. Expanding beyond bars, we have also introduced gummies focused on skin and hair health.
Recently, we identified a growing concern among consumers: sleep disturbances. My son, who is a neuropsychiatrist specializing in Ayurveda, suggested that we create a product to support deep relaxation and restful sleep. Acting on this idea, we developed a unique, non–habit-forming sleep-relaxation gummy. Within just a few days of use, it helps restore healthy sleep patterns naturally, eliminating the need for long-term medication. It’s more than a supplement; it’s a soothing Ayurvedic therapy in a convenient form.
Looking ahead, we are also developing products designed to address specific health concerns. For instance, we are formulating a PCOD bar to support women’s hormonal health, as well as specialized bars for children’s nutrition and eyesight improvement. In addition, we are conducting focused research on formulations for obesity and diabetes management.
Slowly but surely, we aim to blend ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with modern nutrition science to offer practical, effective solutions for everyday health challenges.
