On the final day of my tenure at my previous job, I engaged in a seemingly casual conversation with the young parking attendants at my regular metro station. As a mere icebreaker, I inquired about their employee benefits—specifically, their knowledge of PF and ESI. To my astonishment, they were completely unaware of their entitlements. Recognizing this gap, I left my card, offering assistance to their employer should the need arise.
The following day, much to my surprise, the owner of the parking lot reached out, requesting guidance on statutory filings and compliance matters. Initially, I was reluctant to entertain this request given the nature of my sabbatical. However, his assurance that the task would be minimal compelled me to acquiesce. Thus, a serendipitous opportunity ignited what would eventually become my consulting career. As the word spread, referrals began to pour in, and I took on clients with due diligence, always mindful of balancing work with family commitments.
What began as a solitary consulting endeavor steadily evolved into a flourishing team of 15 professionals. With each successive milestone, I was driven to formalize the business—registering the name “RighTurn” and obtaining GST registration as the scale of operations expanded. My entrepreneurial journey was never a matter of meticulous planning but rather an unfolding narrative shaped by necessity, passion, and a profound desire to effect positive change.
