In an exclusive interaction with The Interview World at the MachAuto Expo, Gopal Tibrewal, Founder and CEO of AceSolar Renewable Energy LLP, shares insights into the company’s renewable energy offerings tailored for various industries. He explains how AceSolar stands apart in operational efficiency, outlines its total installed solar capacity, highlights consumer-focused initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, and unveils his strategy for future expansion and growth.

Here are the key takeaways from this engaging and insightful conversation.

Q: Can you elaborate on the renewable energy solutions that AceSolar offers to the industry, and how do these solutions differentiate you from competitors in terms of operational efficiency?

A: We have been actively executing solar power projects since 2016, offering a comprehensive portfolio that spans on-grid, off-grid, ground-mounted, rooftop, and hybrid systems. Our product range also includes advanced solar solutions such as solar street lights, carports, floating solar arrays, and solar fencing—covering every major segment of solar infrastructure.

What truly sets us apart is our integration of self-cleaning robotic systems with our solar power plants. These automated solutions eliminate the need for manual cleaning, ensuring optimal panel performance with minimal human intervention. This innovation remains a key differentiator in our offering.

Q: What is the total installed capacity of solar power projects AceSolar has commissioned to date?

A: We have successfully completed solar installations totalling 20 to 25 megawatts. Looking ahead, we expect to secure a 50-megawatt work order currently in the pipeline. With this momentum, we project our company will scale to a ₹500 crore enterprise by 2027.

Q: How is AceSolar planning to innovate further on its existing solutions to stay ahead in the renewable energy space?

A: While we are not actively developing proprietary innovations at the moment, we consistently adopt the latest technologies in the industry. Currently, we deploy high-efficiency 710-watt solar panels and 350-kilowatt single inverters—both representing cutting-edge advancements in solar engineering. We stay aligned with the best technologies available in the sector, ensuring strong performance and continued growth across all our projects.

Q: Does AceSolar offer any renewable energy solutions tailored for the B2C segment?

A: We are a registered vendor with the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) for B2C solar solutions. Under this framework, we actively implement the PM Surya Ghar Yojana to bring clean energy to residential consumers.

At the same time, we partner with a wide range of industries—including steel, paper, garments, cold storage, and machinery—to deliver tailored solar solutions that meet their specific energy needs. Our expertise spans across all major industrial sectors, positioning us as a trusted partner in their transition to sustainable power.

Q: You mentioned the PM Surya Ghar Yojana—how many households has AceSolar covered under this initiative so far?

A: We recently joined the PM Surya Ghar Yojana and have completed around 70 installations in the past three months. Building on this momentum, we plan to scale up significantly—targeting a minimum of 200 household installations per month by December. With this effort, we aim not only to accelerate adoption of clean energy but also to help families reduce electricity costs while contributing to a greener, more sustainable environment.

Q: Is AceSolar primarily focused on the domestic market, or are there strategic plans in place for international expansion?

A: We haven’t entered international markets yet, and for good reason—we’re fully focused on the Indian market. The domestic solar industry alone is worth ₹5 lakh crore (₹5 trillion), presenting enormous untapped potential. Even capturing just 1% to 2% of this market would represent a significant scale of growth. Simply put, we don’t need to look abroad. India itself offers far greater opportunities in solar power deployment, and we’re committed to maximizing them.
