In an exclusive discussion with The Interview World, Mukul Gautam, Founder and CEO of Accilives, delves into the company’s innovative product lineup, explains the technology driving these advancements, and offers insights into upcoming developments. Below are the key highlights from his interview.
Q: Can you provide details on the innovative products developed by Accilives? Could you explain how they stand out in contributing to human society?
A: Let me outline the problem that led to the development of our solution. Each year in India, over 1.5 million people lose their lives in road accidents and emergencies. In response, we designed a solution that acts as a trigger, automatically detecting accidents and emergencies as they occur.
Upon detection, the system immediately sends an SOS alert to nearby authorities and, most critically, to the user’s loved ones. This alert includes the individual’s complete emergency medical details and the precise location of the incident. Furthermore, this ensures timely and efficient assistance can be provided.
Q: How does your device detect an accident or other mishap involving a person? What underlying technologies are integrated into the device for this detection?
A: Our solution integrates a range of sensors, GPS, and various other IoT devices to ensure precision. We collect seven data points, and only when three or more indicate an accident, an alert is triggered. This process ensures that the SOS alert is highly accurate, minimizing the risk of false alarms being sent to authorities or loved ones.
Q: What predefined inputs or data does the device rely on to send alerts to a person’s loved ones in case of accidents?
A: To get started, create your profile on our portal and enter the serial number of your product. This step connects the device to your profile. When accidents occur, the device automatically transmits data to our server. Our algorithm and AI then analyze this information to determine whether an accident has taken place. Once confirmed, the system promptly sends alerts to your nearest authorities and loved ones, ensuring they are notified about the incident.
Q: What upcoming innovations or advancements are you envisioning for your next phase of development?
A: We are currently digitizing medical records to enhance accessibility and efficiency. Our team is developing an AI system that will analyze your medical reports. In the future, this AI will be capable of predicting potential diseases you may be prone to and recommending lifestyle changes to help prevent them. This initiative represents Phase 2 of our company’s vision, and we are excited to implement these advancements.
Q: How many products have you successfully commercialized so far?
A: We currently offer three product lines. One of our standout offerings is the Pathrakshak, which belongs to the Acci Smart range. Previously, we introduced the Acci QR, which features QR code-based triggers available in the market. Additionally, we have developed NFC-based technology, known as Acci NFC, which also includes NFC-triggered products currently available.
Q: How do you estimate the market size for this product specifically in India?
A: The Indian market represents a substantial opportunity, valued at $60 billion. Each year, India faces the tragic loss of 1.5 million lives due to accidents. It results in significant societal and economic impact. This loss amounts to approximately $60 billion annually. By implementing timely and effective solutions, we have the potential to save not only lives but also these substantial economic resources.
