Q: Given that most Indian farmers communicate primarily in vernacular languages, how is LeadsConnect ensuring the usability of your app for them? Are you leveraging any AI models to facilitate this?
A: Currently, our app supports six languages, with plans underway to expand this to 15 within the next year. We are committed to ensuring accessibility for a diverse range of users, and the active inclusion of these languages marks a significant step in that direction.
Our platform goes beyond traditional AI by incorporating causal AI, which integrates ground data, satellite data, and advanced AI algorithms. This holistic approach ensures farmers receive accurate, actionable insights tailored to their specific needs, making technology practical and impactful.
Q: What impact do you anticipate this application will have on improving farmers’ yield and overall productivity?
A: AI and productivity, when combined, operate as an advisory model designed to empower farmers. This technology equips them with early insights, enabling proactive decisions. Farmers can implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard their yields by identifying crop health issues in advance. As a result, production levels increase significantly, provided farmers align their actions with the technology’s recommendations and proposed solutions.
Q: What innovations do you envision building on this platform over the next five to ten years?
A: Our immediate focus is onboarding Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) to streamline operations. We aim to purchase directly from these FPOs, addressing the critical gap in market linkages. When farmers receive fair value for their produce, they are naturally inclined to adopt technology that enhances their profitability. By creating a platform for direct transactions, we empower farmers and FPOs to sell their produce directly to markets or retailers. This approach bridges the value chain effectively. We plan to deliver a comprehensive solution to achieve this goal within the next one to two years—not five or ten.
