Q: Can you provide an overview of EldersIndia and explain the specific services or support you offer to elderly or retired individuals?

A: EldersIndia is a transformative platform that empowers corporate employees to secure exceptional care for their elderly parents. By partnering with organizations, we tackle a diverse range of senior care needs, providing a comprehensive solution.

From home healthcare and daily assistance to safety and security, we cover every critical aspect of eldercare. We also recognize the importance of addressing seniors’ social needs—fostering relationships and friendships—as well as their financial security.

With a footprint in 140 locations across the country and backed by 85 trusted partners, we simplify the process for corporates, enabling them to offer robust support to their employees. No matter where their parents reside, EldersIndia ensures that employees can fulfill their caregiving responsibilities seamlessly, allowing them to focus on their careers with confidence and peace of mind.

Q: Since you’re offering services across various dimensions and amenities, how do you partner with or onboard companies that provide these services to the elderly?

A: Developing this platform has been a monumental effort. It took us nearly two years to lay the groundwork and onboard our partners. Following that, we dedicated several months to thoroughly scanning the marketplace, pinpointing service providers that can meet a diverse array of needs across various locations.

We recruited industry experts to meticulously curate the partners showcased on our platform. While this journey demanded significant time and dedication, the outcome is clear: we’ve simplified the process for employees. Accessing essential services for their parents is now easier and more efficient than ever, thanks to our relentless commitment to quality and service.

Q: With the elderly population in India expected to grow significantly over the next 10 to 15 years, how has the market responded to your program, and how are you preparing for this demographic shift?

A: The elderly population isn’t just set to rise in the next 10 to 15 years—it’s surging right now. At the same time, the number of people available to support these seniors is dwindling. We’re witnessing a shift towards single-parent and nuclear families. For instance, when a single child leaves a small town for a job in the city, their parents face a difficult choice: relocate with them or remain behind. Either way, challenges abound.

This reality creates an urgent demand for support. The market for eldercare is growing rapidly, yet awareness of available services is still alarmingly low. For the past several months—and indeed, over the last few years—we have been on a mission to enlighten families about the essential services and opportunities that can ensure their loved ones receive the care they need.

Moreover, many seniors struggle to articulate their own needs. Meanwhile, their adult children, having been cared for all their lives, often feel unprepared when the roles reverse. Our objective is clear: we aim to educate employees about their future caregiving responsibilities, equipping them to meet these challenges head-on and offering support when they need it most.

Q: How many customers have you successfully onboarded to your platform so far?

A: We have already onboarded thousands of employees, but our corporate partnerships are still in the early stages, with only a handful of companies currently subscribed to our services.

The good news is that many more corporates are entering into discussions with us. Initially, awareness of the need for eldercare services was low. Companies questioned why they should invest in these initiatives, believing that providing financial support was sufficient. Now, they are starting to understand the critical importance of actively supporting their employees as caregivers.

As a result, we are engaged in numerous dynamic conversations, and several corporations are expressing genuine interest in collaborating with us.

Q: Can you explain the underlying technology powering your platform?

A: Our platform brilliantly connects a diverse range of stakeholders—corporates, adult children, seniors, and service providers from across the country. Each group has its own dedicated dashboard, ensuring personalized engagement and effortless access to vital information.

We’ve designed this platform to foster meaningful interactions among all stakeholders. Furthermore, we’ve formed strategic partnerships with leading age-tech platforms and service providers, integrating cutting-edge IoT devices, security cameras, and various technology vendors into our ecosystem.

Q: What is your long-term vision for the platform, and how do you see it evolving in the future?

A: Our long-term vision is to build an ecosystem that provides care exactly where and how it’s needed. We ensure that every elder in India can live a fulfilling and high-quality life.

Q: Given the financial involvement in your services, are there any specific regulations or certifications required for offering these types of services?

A: At present, the eldercare marketplace lacks certification requirements, and the reason is simple: it’s still evolving. When you have a parent in a remote town who needs assistance, the priority is to find a trustworthy service provider. Ensuring reliable access to care is our first step.

As the market matures, we anticipate a shift toward standardization and certification. Right now, our focus is on guaranteeing availability. As we move forward, certification and standardization will inevitably follow.
