Here are the key takeaways from this compelling exchange.
Q: Arka BRENStech has implemented over 160 projects worldwide. Can you share a standout project that exemplifies your company’s impact on sustainable development?
A: Absolutely. A standout example is our 3 + 10 TPD Bio-CNG plant (Phase 1 and Phase 2) in Maharashtra, developed in collaboration with another leading Indian Bio-CNG company. This partner aims to roll out 20 similar projects across the country, marking a significant step toward decentralized clean energy production.
More than just a fuel facility, the project transforms industrial waste into clean, renewable Bio-CNG while simultaneously producing high-quality fermented organic manure (FOM). This nutrient-rich byproduct effectively replaces chemical fertilizers, directly benefiting local farms.
Looking ahead, we plan to scale the model by further valorizing biogas into multiple energy streams and capturing and utilizing the carbon dioxide generated in the process. The result is a fully integrated, closed-loop system that promotes sustainable agriculture, creates rural employment, and significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
In essence, this project exemplifies the circular economy in action—efficient, regenerative, and future-ready.
Q: Anaerobic Digestion Laboratory testing equipment, Energy-BoxX, and Digester Doctor represent cutting-edge innovations in your portfolio. How do these technologies differentiate Arka BRENStech’s solutions and establish your leadership in the waste-to-energy sector?
A: The Energy-BoxX is a modular, plug-and-play solution engineered for rapid deployment of waste-to-energy systems, particularly in off-grid and rural communities. This compact unit seamlessly integrates biogas purification, compression, and storage, significantly reducing both installation time and operational complexity. Notably, one of its early models was successfully commissioned at Rashtrapati Bhawan through one of our trusted channel partners—a proud testament to its performance and reliability.
In contrast, the Digester Doctor offers a more advanced, culture-based formulation designed to maintain and optimize digester health in real-time. By enhancing microbial activity, it boosts methane yield, prevents system failures before they escalate, and ensures maximum plant uptime. As a result, clients consistently experience higher returns on investment and improved operational efficiency. These innovations make our technologies not only efficient but also intelligent, adaptable, and scalable across diverse use cases.
In addition, we serve as the exclusive distributor of Bio Process Control (BPC) laboratory equipment in India, supporting research and implementation in biogas, biohydrogen, and anaerobic digestion projects. To date, we have successfully delivered over 23 such units across the country. With the rapid expansion of large-scale biogas initiatives and specialized laboratories, we are set to deploy several more units in the near future.
Together, these technologies exemplify our commitment to delivering cutting-edge, sustainable, and high-impact solutions across the renewable energy landscape.
Q: Bio-CNG and Bio-CO₂ production using upgraded L-PSA technology is a key focus area for Arka BRENStech. What are the specific technological advantages of this innovation for industrial and agrarian clients, and how does it enhance their operational efficiency or sustainability goals?
A: Our advanced Low-Pressure Swing Adsorption (L-PSA) technology delivers two high-value outputs: Bio-CNG with over 96% methane purity and food-grade Bio-CO₂. It does so more efficiently and cost-effectively than conventional methods. This breakthrough not only drives down production expenses but also accelerates the transition to cleaner energy.
In industrial settings, it provides a sustainable, regulation-friendly substitute for fossil fuels—without compromising on performance. Meanwhile, in agriculture, Bio-CNG powers farm machinery with a renewable edge, while the captured CO₂ supports controlled-environment farming, enhancing productivity and sustainability.
The dual-output system creates both economic and ecological value. It minimizes environmental impact while maximizing resource utilization—making green energy adoption both practical and profitable.
Q: You’ve set an ambitious goal to reduce 300 million metric tons of CO₂ by 2028. What strategies and partnerships are helping you achieve this mission?
A: We are driving this mission through a bold, integrated strategy designed for scale, impact, and alignment with global climate goals.
First, we are rapidly scaling decentralized biogas solutions across India and other emerging markets—bringing clean energy to the forefront of rural and urban development. Simultaneously, we are aligning closely with national initiatives like SATAT and the MNRE bioenergy roadmap to amplify reach and policy synergy.
To accelerate deployment, we are actively engaging with international climate funds and ESG-focused investors. These partnerships fuel our projects and anchor them within the broader climate finance ecosystem. Moreover, we are leveraging cutting-edge electronic technologies to monitor carbon credits, ensuring transparency and delivering verifiable environmental outcomes.
In parallel, we are in active negotiations with corporate partners to integrate our solutions into their Scope 1 and Scope 3 emissions strategies. This move not only enhances their sustainability credentials but also triggers a cascading effect—embedding climate responsibility deep into their value chains.
Together, these efforts form a powerful, multi-level approach that transforms ambition into measurable climate action.
Q: How is Arka BRENStech leveraging international collaborations to drive innovation and growth in clean energy solutions?
A: We believe global challenges demand collaborative, cross-sector solutions. That’s why we’ve forged a strategic partnership with a leading Indian Bio-CNG company to market our proven membrane purification technology at scale. Simultaneously, we are in advanced discussions with several firms to integrate AI-enabled process control and carbon capture capabilities into our operations—unlocking the next level of efficiency and sustainability.
