Xcelore, headquartered in Noida, India, is a fast-scaling, AI-driven digital product engineering firm. Established in 2023, the company designs and delivers intelligent, high-impact digital solutions by leveraging AI, ML, LLMs, and advanced analytics. Moreover, it provides end-to-end capabilities across the product lifecycle, spanning AI/ML engineering, custom software development, experience design, and agile delivery. As its global team and client base expand rapidly, Xcelore enables enterprises to optimize operations, elevate user experiences, and accelerate innovation through scalable, data-centric technologies across sectors such as healthcare, retail, and SaaS.

In an exclusive interaction with The Interview World at the 33rd Convergence India Expo, Chetan Malhotra, Vice President and Business Unit Head – AI Products & Solutions at Xcelore, articulates the company’s AI offerings and the enterprise use cases they address. He further outlines the emerging industry verticals the company is targeting while also sharing perspectives on international markets adopting its AI solutions. Additionally, he presents a forward-looking innovation roadmap for the next five years. The following are the key insights from this in-depth conversation.

Q: Can you detail the core technology solutions offered by Xcelore, including their key capabilities and the industries they are designed to serve?

A: We operate as an AI product development company, designing and delivering bespoke AI solutions for a diverse set of clients. In India, we serve organizations such as the Indian Air Force and Muthoot Group. Beyond domestic markets, we also partner with global enterprises, including the Landmark Group and IKEA, with operations spanning the Middle East and the United States.

In addition to client-centric solutions, we have developed two proprietary platforms. First, we offer Exei, an agentic AI platform purpose-built for customer service transformation. It enables businesses to automate customer interactions while preserving a human, empathetic tone. Specifically, AI agents engage customers across inbound and outbound channels, including websites, WhatsApp, and Instagram. As a result, organizations can streamline customer support, enhance engagement, and drive marketing effectiveness through a unified conversational interface.

Second, we provide Xcelight, an AI-powered video analytics platform designed to augment existing CCTV infrastructure. Rather than requiring new hardware, it integrates seamlessly with deployed camera systems across environments such as retail, manufacturing, and healthcare. Consequently, organizations can unlock actionable insights, ranging from customer footfall and operational efficiency to safety and security metrics. Moreover, the platform delivers real-time alerts based on predefined anomalies. This represents a fundamental shift from traditional CCTV usage, which typically involves retrospective analysis after incidents occur, to a proactive, intelligence-driven monitoring approach.

Beyond these platforms, we leverage the latest advancements in AI to help clients conceptualize, build, and scale a wide range of digital products. Whether developing intelligent websites or complex platform-based applications, we enable organizations to translate AI capabilities into tangible business outcomes.

Q: How do your products integrate AI to solve specific enterprise use cases?

A: Both platforms embed advanced AI capabilities at the backend and build on a modular, extensible architecture. For Exei, our agentic AI platform, we leverage large language models as the core intelligence layer; however, we remain deliberately model-agnostic. This flexibility allows us to integrate and orchestrate leading LLMs, including those from OpenAI and Google DeepMind, based on the specific requirements of each use case. As a result, we optimize performance, accuracy, and cost efficiency without locking clients into a single ecosystem.

Similarly, Xcelight relies on advanced computer vision and video analytics frameworks to deliver real-time intelligence. We continuously incorporate emerging vision technologies and evolving analytics models to enhance detection accuracy, contextual understanding, and responsiveness. Consequently, the platform transforms passive surveillance systems into proactive, insight-driven assets.

Across both products, we apply AI with precision and intent. Rather than deploying technology for its own sake, we architect solutions that address clearly defined, high-value business use cases and deliver measurable outcomes.

Q: What is your roadmap for extending this product into new industry verticals?

A: We primarily target enterprises and well-funded B2B startups, and we continue to deepen our engagement within this segment. At present, we do not focus on the public sector; instead, we concentrate on private organizations where the pace of adoption and scale of impact are significantly higher.

Accordingly, we prioritize industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and education. Moreover, we have already established a growing presence across these sectors, with active customers and ongoing engagements. This focused approach enables us to deliver tailored AI solutions that align closely with industry-specific challenges and business objectives.

Q: Are your products currently available in international markets, and if so, which regions do you operate in?

A: We maintain an active and expanding international client base. Specifically, we serve customers across the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and Dubai, as well as in the United States and across Europe.

Moreover, our digital products are inherently borderless. Because they are not constrained by physical infrastructure or geographic limitations, organizations can deploy and scale them seamlessly across global markets. Consequently, we enable clients to achieve consistent performance and user experience, regardless of location.

Q: How do you envision your innovation roadmap and new product lines evolving over the next five years?

A: Given the current velocity of change in AI, a five-year horizon is inherently difficult to predict with precision. In fact, even short-term forecasts, beyond the next few months, carry a high degree of uncertainty. Therefore, rather than relying on speculative long-range projections, we adopt a pragmatic and adaptive approach.

At present, we remain sharply focused on the two core segments we serve. Within these areas, we prioritize solving real, high-impact business problems with measurable outcomes. At the same time, we continuously track advancements in AI and emerging technologies. As the landscape evolves, we will expand our capabilities accordingly and address a broader spectrum of business use cases with increasing sophistication.
