Lexplosion Solutions stands as a trailblazing Indian LegalTech powerhouse, redefining how businesses navigate compliance and governance. Founded in 2007 by four former GE lawyers, the company has evolved from a bold idea into a multi-city, internationally present team united by a single mission: to make compliance not merely manageable, but elegantly simple.
Its product suite functions as a modern legal-operations arsenal. Komrisk and Komplify deliver razor-sharp clarity to compliance management; Komtrakt streamlines every stage of the contract lifecycle; and Komlit imposes structure and insight on litigation tracking. Powered by a formidable fusion of legal expertise and forward-looking technology, Lexplosion enables organizations across sectors, such as manufacturing, banking, telecom, IT, healthcare, and more, to move decisively through regulatory complexity.
At its core, Lexplosion closes the distance between dense regulatory frameworks and real-world business execution. It is not merely building tools; it is reshaping how India conceives and practices legal compliance.
In an exclusive conversation with The Interview World at the India Law, AI & Tech Summit 2025, hosted by OakBridge Publishing, Indranil Choudhury, CEO of Lexplosion, explains how the company embeds responsible AI principles into its LegalTech solutions. He outlines the safeguards that ensure its AI models operate responsibly, offers insight into the accuracy levels of its AI-driven platforms, reflects on how AI adoption in the legal domain will evolve over the next five to ten years, and shares his vision for layering new innovations atop the company’s existing solutions. The following are the key takeaways from this compelling discussion.
Q: How does Lexplosion ensure that responsible AI principles are deeply embedded in its LegalTech solutions?
A: AI itself is neither responsible nor irresponsible; the people who train it determine how it behaves. Their biases, gaps in knowledge, or inaccurate inputs can push a model toward irresponsible outcomes. That is why it’s crucial to recognize that any model learns over time, and that learning stays reliable only when the right people remain involved. These ‘humans in the loop’ supply accurate data, correct errors, and continuously fine-tune the system. This disciplined oversight is the most effective way to ensure responsible AI. At the same time, we must acknowledge that if such technology falls into the wrong hands, it can be misused, an ever-present risk that demands constant vigilance.
Q: What measures have you implemented to ensure your AI model operates responsibly?
A: We ensure that every element used to train our models is rigorously cross-verified multiple times by qualified professionals including lawyers, chartered accountants, and company secretaries. We also refuse to release anything to the market until the model has been thoroughly trained, cross-trained, and validated over an extended period. These measures form the core of our approach to guaranteeing that our systems operate responsibly and reliably.
Q: What accuracy levels do your AI-driven LegalTech solutions consistently achieve?
A: For our more mature products, accuracy consistently exceeds 95%. Our newer products currently operate in the 75–80% range, which is expected at this stage of their development. That is simply how models learn. As we continue to train them and feed them richer, more diverse inputs, they adapt, improve, and steadily raise their accuracy. Over time, this disciplined training drives their confidence scores higher, just as it does with every well-designed model.
Q: How do you anticipate the adoption of AI evolving within the legal domain over the next five to ten years?
A: I expect adoption to be very high, although I avoid making firm predictions. None of us anticipated the arrival of something like ChatGPT, yet it has transformed the landscape and reshaped how people view generative AI. So yes, the growth will likely be significant, but ultimately, the future remains open to surprise.
Q: What new layers of innovation do you envision building on top of your existing solutions?
A: We will continue to harness technology to its fullest potential to keep our offerings sharply aligned with client needs. Ultimately, our purpose is to deliver solutions that matter. By leveraging AI, we aim to give clients faster, more efficient, and more productive outcomes. That remains our defining goal.
