Q: Could you elaborate on the artistic genre you specialise in and the types of works you’re showcasing at this exhibition?
A: These paintings, now on display at The Haat of Art, embody my creative vision. This particular work, rendered in acrylic, revolves around the intertwined themes of love and spirituality. Through it, I explore love in its many dimensions—self-love, the intimate journey of the self, the nurturing bond between mother and daughter, the delicate balance between the masculine and feminine, and expressions that ascend into the spiritual realm. Ultimately, I chose to narrate my artistic story through the universal and transformative forces of love and spirituality.
Q: When did you first begin painting, and how has your artistic journey evolved since then?
A: I began painting nearly a decade ago, guided not by formal training but by an innate calling. As a self-taught artist, I shaped my craft through observation, exploration, and an unyielding passion for expression. My journey drew its earliest inspiration from nature’s quiet poetry, the timeless grace of sculptures, and a deep fascination with love.
I cannot explain how this impulse emerges from within, yet I know it to be constant—love, in its countless forms, is eternal. To me, it embodies the profound connection between two souls. It is a force we celebrate repeatedly, in moments both grand and intimate, surrounded by those who are part of our lives—whether bound to us by family or encountered beyond its circle.
Q: How do you perceive the way audiences engage with and appreciate your art?
A: Viewers respond warmly to my work, often drawn most to the paintings steeped in spiritual essence. They particularly admire those pieces where love and spirituality merge in a mellifluous, harmonious flow. At this exhibition, many pause before my stall, taking time to study each detail. They engage in conversations about the themes, seeking to understand the stories and emotions woven into the canvas. Time and again, they share that my paintings inspire them—both in thought and in spirit.
Q: How many exhibitions have you participated in, both in India and internationally?
A: I have yet to showcase my work on an international stage. Until now, my exhibitions have been within India, in culturally vibrant cities such as Delhi and Jaipur. This event marks the fourth milestone in my exhibition journey.
