The Interview World

A high-stakes meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky erupted into a fiery verbal clash, leaving prospects for a ceasefire in Ukraine hanging by a thread.

Trump, in a stern tone, told Zelensky, “Either make a deal, or we are out,” while warning, “You are in big trouble… you are not winning this.” Zelensky shot back, asserting Ukraine’s resilience and independence. The heated exchange soon involved U.S. Vice President JD Vance, who accused Zelensky of being “disrespectful.”

Trump lambasted Ukraine’s reliance on U.S. military aid, saying, “Without us, this war would have been over in two weeks.” Zelensky retorted that he had heard similar remarks from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Following the explosive confrontation, Trump declared on Truth Social that Zelensky was “not ready for peace.” With no deal signed, the hope for a ceasefire now seems distant.
