Rekha Gupta Takes Oath as Delhi CM in Grand Ceremony

Delhi’s Chief Minister-elect, BJP’s Rekha Gupta, will take oath today alongside six cabinet colleagues at a grand ceremony at Ramlila Maidan. The event marks BJP’s return to power in Delhi after 26 years. Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from 20 states, BJP leaders, and over 50 film stars and industrialists will attend. Kailash Kher will perform at the musical prelude. Religious leaders and central scheme beneficiaries are also invited. BJP picked Gupta, a first-time MLA, 11 days after the election, in which the party secured 48 seats, ending AAP’s decade-long rule amid corruption allegations.
