NASA has confirmed that US astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams, stranded on the International Space Station (ISS) for over nine months, will return to Earth on Tuesday evening. They will travel aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule alongside NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov. Wilmore and Williams were originally set for a short mission but were marooned due to propulsion issues with Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft. Their unexpected extended stay has drawn public attention. The capsule will splash down off Florida’s coast at 5:57 PM ET (2157 GMT), with live coverage beginning Monday evening.
