India lifted the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after a thrilling chase against New Zealand at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Chasing 252, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja anchored India to victory with a composed finish at 254/6. Earlier, India suffered a mid-innings collapse after Rohit Sharma’s 76, but Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel steadied the innings before late breakthroughs by Mitch Santner and Michael Bracewell. New Zealand, led by Daryl Mitchell’s 63 and Bracewell’s unbeaten fifty, set a competitive total. Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav starred with two wickets each as India’s bowlers controlled the middle overs.
