India on Tuesday issued a strong six-point rebuttal to U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s remarks claiming American mediation in the Indo-Pak ceasefire. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) clarified that the ceasefire was a bilateral military agreement, not U.S.-brokered. India dismissed Trump’s claims of averting nuclear escalation and denied any trade discussions during Operation Sindoor. The MEA reiterated there’s no scope for third-party mediation on Kashmir, rejected diplomatic “hyphenation” with Pakistan, and ruled out neutral venue talks. India also announced the Indus Waters Treaty has been placed in abeyance following the Pahalgam terror attack.
