In an exclusive exchange with senior journalist P. Srinivasan from The Interview World, Dr. Anju Sharma discusses sound therapy, its applications, tools and instruments used in sound healing, and the music capsules essential for maintaining health. Here are key insights from her interview.

Q: What is sound therapy and how does it work?

A: The idea that everything in the universe, including our bodies, vibrates, forms the foundation of sound healing, also known as sound therapy. This practice, dating back to ancient Greece where people used music to treat psychological conditions, now stands as a recognized modern wellness therapy. While science explains the universe’s origin as the Big Bang, the Vedas describe the Big Bang as OM, a continuous sound. Illness occurs when the body is out of balance due to blockages that prevent organs from vibrating at their healthy frequencies. Sound healing transmits sound waves throughout the body, promoting harmony by causing the cells to oscillate and resonate, thereby shifting them from disease to ease.

Q: What types of problems can this therapy effectively address?

A: Sound healing effectively addresses both physiological and psychological issues. Problems, whether physical or psychological, enter our bodies through the five sensory organs—eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and skin—and, crucially, through the sixth sense: our thoughts. These thoughts manifest as vibrations, traveling through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic senses. Sound healing targets these vibrations, entering the body and gradually repairing cells. This process operates on three levels simultaneously: it first impacts emotional health at the vibrational level, then mental health at the psychological level, and finally physical health at the physiological level.

Q: On what scientific principles and evidence is sound therapy based?

A: Our bodies consist of trillions of cells, with over 70% made up of water. Sound healing, uniquely effective in repairing, regenerating, and rejuvenating, stands out as a powerful tool. The vibrations from the bowls effectively address both physical and psychological issues. By listening to frequencies ranging from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz through auditory nerves and skin, toxic vibrations are efficiently eliminated.

Q: What are the various tools and instruments commonly used in sound healing practices?

A: Sound healing utilizes an array of powerful tools and instruments. Among these are the Tibetan Healing Bowl, the Himalayan Singing Bowl, and the Crystal Singing Bowl. Additionally, practitioners employ the resonant tones of the Gong and the melodic notes of the Xylophone. The Hapi Drum and Hand Pan contribute rhythmic vibrations, while the ethereal sounds of the Singing Bell and Vajra enhance the healing atmosphere. Furthermore, the tranquil rhythms of the Ocean Drum and the soothing melodies of the Flute are integral components of this therapeutic practice.

Q: Are you creating any musical capsules aimed at promoting health and well-being globally?

A: Our band, ‘The Sound of Infinity Band,’ has pioneered two transformative musical capsules designed to combat the toxic sound permeating your body, disrupting your cells’ harmony. These capsules leverage sound vibrations to address specific ailments, fostering physical and mental well-being.

By inducing the release of various hormones and neurochemicals, our musical capsules facilitate cell repair and regeneration. This dual approach not only targets the root cause of ailments but also promotes overall health.

Whether grappling with sleep disorders, infertility, or seeking to enhance creativity, our music capsules offer a holistic solution. To experience their full benefits, listening twice daily or continuously for 21 to 45 days, for 20 minutes to half an hour, is recommended. Our band is dedicated to pioneering music as a tool for health maintenance and disease prevention. Stay tuned for further developments as we continue our mission to promote well-being through the power of sound.
