The Interview World

President Donald Trump, in his first address to the U.S. Congress since his resounding re-election victory, declared that hiring in the U.S. would be based solely on merit and that the country “will no longer be woke.” He asserted that his administration had dismantled the “tyranny” of diversity and inclusion programs.

Trump, now 78, touted economic recovery as his top priority while attacking the Biden administration over inflation and international policies. He announced new reciprocal tariffs, including on India, starting April 2, drawing cheers from Republican lawmakers.

The speech was met with protests from Democrats, with Congressman Al Green being ejected for heckling. Trump also praised Elon Musk, who now leads the Department of Government Efficiency. Promising to restore law and order, Trump said his administration was reforming the FBI and DOJ, recognizing new Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI chief Kash Patel.
