A Delta Air Lines jet carrying 80 people crash-landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday, flipping upside down and injuring at least 18 passengers, including three critically.

Endeavor Air Flight 4819, en route from Minneapolis, landed in treacherous weather conditions before coming to rest on its back with damaged wings. Emergency responders acted swiftly, evacuating passengers and dousing the aircraft with water as smoke billowed from the fuselage.

Dramatic images showed passengers stumbling away from the wreckage amid strong winds and blowing snow. No fatalities were reported.

The airport temporarily halted operations but resumed flights after two hours, warning of significant delays. Investigators from Canada’s Transportation Safety Board and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration are probing the crash.

Delta CEO Ed Bastian expressed support for those affected, while officials praised first responders’ “heroic” efforts in ensuring all onboard were safely evacuated.
