At Medical Fair India 2025, in an exclusive conversation with The Interview World, Satyadev Khandelwal, Head of Sales at Aabo, shares insights into key healthcare products that advance remote patient monitoring. He discusses the robust supply chain ecosystem that seamlessly connects patients, doctors, and hospitals, underscores the unparalleled accuracy of Aabo’s diagnostic tools, and unveils the company’s bold strides in futuristic healthcare innovations. He also sheds light on the market’s response, reflecting Aabo’s growing impact in the industry.

Q: Can you share insights into your flagship healthcare products designed for remote patient monitoring and highlight the unique features that set them apart in the market?

A: At Aabo, we specialize in remote monitoring, elderly healthcare, and digital health solutions. Our advanced devices streamline diagnostic testing, eliminating the need for frequent hospital visits. Traditionally, tests like ECG, glucose monitoring, and blood pressure checks require multiple standalone devices and in-person consultations. Aabo simplifies this process by integrating multiple tests into a single, AI-powered device.

With Aabo’s technology, patients can conduct tests from the comfort of their homes. They can connect directly with their own doctor—or choose from our expert panel—for real-time consultations based on live health data. This eliminates the hassle of visiting clinics or laboratories, collecting reports, and returning for prescriptions. Our innovation particularly benefits the elderly, ensuring they receive timely medical attention without unnecessary travel. Post-pandemic, young professionals often worry about their aging parents’ frequent hospital visits. Aabo provides a seamless solution, allowing them to monitor their loved ones remotely.

For instance, if a doctor prescribes regular ECG tests every 10 or 15 days, our device makes compliance effortless. Beyond cardiovascular monitoring, we offer specialized tools such as an otoscope, which facilitates ear, nose, throat, and skin examinations.

We are also developing an AI-powered stethoscope, designed not only to record heart, lung, and abdominal sounds but also to detect pneumonia in children under five. Pneumonia remains a silent killer, claiming a child’s life every five seconds. Aabo’s technology aims to revolutionize early detection, enabling timely intervention and saving lives. This groundbreaking device is set to launch in the coming months.

Our flagship product, the Aabo Smart Ring, represents the next generation of wearable health technology. Unlike conventional wearables, it provides in-depth sleep monitoring and personalized health insights. It helps users detect conditions like sleep apnea and insomnia, guiding them toward preventive measures. The ring offers continuous health tracking in a discreet, user-friendly format, empowering individuals to take control of their well-being.

Despite advancements in medical technology, healthcare access remains a challenge in rural and underserved regions. A staggering 72% of people benefiting from modern healthcare reside in prime urban locations, leaving rural populations underserved. Aabo is committed to closing this gap by partnering with ASHA workers, organizing medical camps, and deploying portable diagnostic devices to last-mile locations. Our goal is to connect even the most remote communities with expert medical care, ensuring no one is left behind.

This is the vision of Aabo—a world where cutting-edge technology, AI-driven diagnostics, and remote healthcare solutions empower individuals everywhere.

Q: How do you build and integrate a comprehensive supply chain ecosystem that effectively connects all stakeholders, including patients, doctors, and hospitals?

A: Our Health Board product simplifies remote healthcare. It consolidates all necessary medical devices into a single unit, which an ASHA worker, remote monitor, or doctor can carry.

These healthcare representatives visit camps, record patients’ vitals, and connect them with doctors in real time. Through our application’s two-way login, users can access the system as either a patient or a doctor. Patients can speak directly with doctors online, sharing live health data and recently recorded vitals. Doctors can then assess the information and prescribe medication instantly, ensuring timely and efficient care.

Q: Can you provide insights into the accuracy levels of the tests conducted remotely using your device and how they compare to traditional testing methods?

A: Our accuracy ranges within ±5%, ensuring a reliability rate of over 95%. In the medical field, devices must meet this critical threshold.

For specific tests, such as those conducted with the Aabo ring, we achieve 99% accuracy in heart rate measurement and 98% in heart rate variability (HRV) readings. Precision is paramount because these readings guide doctors and patients in making informed decisions about medication. As a medical technology company, we uphold this high standard to maintain trust and deliver dependable healthcare solutions.

Q: What key innovations are you planning for the next five to ten years, and how do you envision their impact on the industry?

A: Right now, our primary focus remains on remote monitoring, a field we have been consistently advancing. However, we have already integrated a crucial feature—pneumonia detection.

Currently, no major medical company, including ours, has developed a device capable of tracking glucose levels non-invasively. Traditional glucose monitoring still requires frequent blood pricks. However, with advancements in technology, we anticipate a breakthrough within the next five to ten years, making non-invasive glucose monitoring a reality.

Q: How has the market responded to your products so far, and what key trends or feedback have you observed?

A: Currently, our smart ring has a user base exceeding 5,000. Beyond India, we have expanded our reach to more than 16 countries. For Health Monitoring Solution, we primarily collaborate with large hospitals. Additionally, we offer white-label programs, enabling these hospitals to purchase our devices and market them under their own brand.
