Additionally, she underscored the critical importance of clinical corridors in delivering world-class healthcare to both Indian citizens and international patients.

Here are the key takeaways from her insightful conversation.

Q: Could you share more details about the upcoming Yashoda Medicity project in Indirapuram, including its key features, specialties, and the vision behind it?

A: Yashoda Medicity is poised to redefine global healthcare standards as a world-class quaternary care international hospital. The facility will house 1,200 beds, 21 state-of-the-art operating theatres, and comprehensive end-to-end services driven entirely by cutting-edge technologies. It will also feature a dedicated cath lab and a hybrid operation theatre, reinforcing its leadership in advanced surgical care.

Moreover, Yashoda Medicity will introduce a groundbreaking innovation in South-East Asia—a unique combination of oncotherapy technologies. For the first time, echocardiography and the Varian Bravos HDR Brachytherapy System will converge under one roof, delivering world-class radiation therapy previously unavailable in the region.

In addition, the hospital will offer 252 ICU beds, ensuring critical care capacity at an unprecedented scale. Every one of the 14 expansive floors has been thoughtfully designed and exclusively dedicated to patient care, embodying an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence.

With its scale, sophistication, and singular focus on patient outcomes, Yashoda Medicity stands as a first-of-its-kind healthcare destination in South-East Asia.

Q: In what ways do you envision this hospital becoming a game-changer for healthcare in India, particularly in North India?

A: As I mentioned earlier, this remains the only facility of its kind not just in India, but across all South-East Asian countries. No other centre in the region offers such advanced treatments.

Q: How is the hospital leveraging emerging technologies to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare services?

A: As I stated earlier, we have brought in the finest machines, including advanced Da Vinci XI robotic systems for surgeries. Moreover, our emergency department stands fully equipped with its own dedicated laboratory, MRI machine, CT scanner, and a complete operation theatre — a level of readiness unmatched by any other hospital.

Q: How are you ensuring that your healthcare services remain accessible and affordable for a wide range of patients

A: Yashoda has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality healthcare at affordable prices. From our flagship facility, Yashoda Super Speciality Hospitals Pvt. Ltd. in Kaushambi, we have been consistently providing exceptional medical services. Our commitment to affordability without compromising on quality continues to set us apart in the healthcare sector.

Q: In your view, is India truly ready to emerge as a global hub for medical value travel, and what existing infrastructure supports this ambition? Additionally, what further developments are needed to strengthen India’s position in this space?

A: India is witnessing rapid growth, fuelled by recent government initiatives. The announcement of support for Tier 2 and Tier 3 city expansions — including assistance with land and infrastructure for 100- and 200-bedded hospitals — has accelerated this momentum. As a result, the number of hospitals is surging, particularly from the private sector and under public-private partnerships. Today, India stands firmly as a thriving destination for healthcare services.

Q: The development of a clinical corridor is crucial for delivering world-class healthcare to both Indian citizens and international patients. When do you anticipate this becoming a reality?

A: Clinical corridors have already been established. In fact, new reports emerged today confirming their progress. From the industry’s perspective, we have long advocated for the development of medical hubs, and now, they are on the verge of becoming a reality. Encouragingly, the government has placed them on its list of priorities. Even during the G20 Summit, medical value travel was identified as a key thrust area, giving further momentum to these initiatives. The foundation for clinical corridors was laid at that time. Very soon, India will offer comprehensive, end-to-end patient services for advanced treatments, including Marburg virus management and cancer care.
